What's On Your Nightstand #3 (Dec '11)

After finishing exams I'm finally enjoying my Christmas break. Now I have time to read and to review what I've read on breaks while studying or on the bus.

I'm reading or will read next:
  • Doctor Who - The Stone Rose by Jacqueline Rayner
  • Chrerub #1 - The Recruit by Robert Muchamore.
  • CSU #2 - Le Phénix by Caroline Terrée
  • The Time Traveller's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger
  • Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
  • More Doctor Who novels: my goal for next year is to read all the NSAs
  • Primeval novels (the tie-in novels not the novelizations of the episodes): I hope to get the four novels soon

  1. Paranormalcy looks interesting! And I didn't know there were Primeval novels! Cool!

Good luck with reading the Doctor Who NSAs. I would love to read them all, but I haven't found the time!

  2. I've never read Grisham but want to. I've never read Dr. Who - I'm afraid I'll get hooked and then want to read and watch all of them.:-)

  4. I just found out that Grisham had written YA books when I saw them listed in The Litigator, which I am halfway through right now. I am interested to read them!

I also really enjoyed The Time Traveler's Wife. Have you read any Jasper Fforde? I had a lot of fun with the Thursday Next books.

    Happy Reading!

  6. @Michelle: I didn't know there were Primeval books either until I looked up Primeval in wikipedia.

@Barbara H: To want to read and watch everything about Doctor Who is not a bad thing :)
You don't have to start with the First Doctor. You can start with the new series (Ninth Doctor).

@morninglight mama: I hope I enjoy it, too. I've read many good things about this book and I love books about time travel.

@Trish: I didn't know Jasper Fforde and haven't read anything by him but now I want to. There are so many books I want to read...

    @Jonathan Wilhoit: I will :)

  8. I'm envying you the days of "final exams done, time to begin Christmas break." Enjoy them fully!

I'm not so much of a paranormal or sci-fi person, so most of the items on your list don't particularly appeal to me--although my little sister (who's a big Dr. Who fan) thinks I would really enjoy Dr. Who. Maybe I'll have to give one of those a try in the upcoming year.
